What's the best goal YOU'VE scored...

So many to choose from for The Troyster - But one that sticks out is my brother taking a corner and I struck it first time top corner from about 25 yards in off the underside of the bar.
That little French striker Papin later tried to copy me.
It was also the winner in a 4-3 game.
Funny thing was, due to sibling rivalry my brother insisted it was only "ok" even though I was getting applause from the side lines.

Playing in the Ford league
Had retired three years previous, but my club, all school mates had carried on playing, they were fitter than me.
Got a call Sunday about 09:15, we've only 8, please do us a favour.
Against my better judgement I dug my boots and pads out of the garage and trudged over Rush Green (where the hammers are now)
Got there about 25mins in.
0-0
We had a free kick about 25yds out,
Ref waved me onto pitch
Captain said,"go on you hit it"
Stepped up, left footed, top corner.
About 10mins later the rest of the team surfaced from wherever they'd woken up after a sat night and I came off at half time.
We still talk about it now,20yrs later.
Also scored a hatrick for the school once from left back.

Came on as a sub up front with it still 0-0. Set up the first a minute later by mis-kicking a shot that looked like a decent pass.
Goal came a few minutes later. Had the ball on the halfway line, passed out to the right and went for a lumbering jog towards the box. Proper struggling to keep up with the pace that the winger was going so I slowed up even more.
I only remember seeing the cross come in and just my boot Swinging at it (weaker foot) and it flying in the top corner. If I tried it a million times again I'd still be fucking missing it.
I redeemed myself later in the game and fell arse over tit attempting my first overhead kick. Hit me in the chest and I thought fuck it have a go. Landed flat on me back pissing meself laughing while it tamely went over the bar.
Best game I've played in probably, despite being completely being anonymous bar two moments of genius.

Chipped the keeper from the edge of the box at the Boleyn ground in one of the football aid games. No greater feeling.

I scored from my area when playing keeper in a Begovic-esque display. The field was not regulation and the wind helped a lot but it really happened.

I've got an odd memory.
My best looking goal was at school, when I perfectly controlled a through ball, so I had no excuse for the air-shot I made.
But this sent the keeper the wrong way, and I recovered quickly enough to put the ball in the opposite corner to the way the keeper went.
It LOOKED LIKE I had executed an extravagant dummy.
I'm sure I've scored better goals (better because I meant them) in the past year, but I can't remember them.
Short-term memory fucks off first in Alzheimer's, doesn't it...

Trevor Sinclair Bicylce kick just inside the box. Didn't get to enjoy seeing it go in though, as I was busy landing like a ton of bricks. Probably doesn't count though as it wasn't a proper match.
Best one in a match was a volley over my shoulder from a corner to the near post that looped over to the far post. Didn't get to see much of that either.

I always preferred playing at the back or in midfield, but because I was am quite tall, most times I have been asked to play up front (despite the fact that I don't jump very well and am not a great header).
At ST Bede's our manager tried to train me to play up front and head the ball, I was still shit.
In one match, he screamed at me to head each corner or cross, until I eventualy leapt, salmon like to head the ball, headbutted the crossbar and knocked myself out, but the ball hit my midriff/bollocks and scored.

Back to goal. Throw in came. I took one touch, backed off defender/left foot, turned quick, lost defender, and then looped a beauty, also left foot. Top corner of the net. Prob 30 yards, full-size pitch. Luck!?
I was 11. And I am right footed, usually.
And then walked 2 hours home because my parents "forgot" I was playing for my school team. Didn't care. Buzzing. Can't do it now.

Learning the footwork and actually executing a front-foot cover drive for four in a school league cricket match.
It flashed to the boundary and all were astounded.
Beats any sexual experience I've ever had.

Took a long throw in, from about 10 yards from the corner flag. Goalkeeper, on his line, jumped to catch it, but twisted his ankle on landing and fell over the line. Technically an OG, but it gave me a special 'cred' for the rest of the season.
Other than that, a 20 yard, left foot shot, that curled into the top corner, against Colchester Utd., in a pre season friendly. Yes, a fluke, but it was like watching a slow motion replay. Knew it was a goal, from the moment I hit it. :-)
